I ordered a new integrated dish washer on Friday and it duly arrived today. I'd already removed, quite easily, the old one.

The new one comes with the crappiest instruction book and some even crappier photocopied photo instructions. Pretty much sorted though and the services connected up, it was always going to be a tight fit but nope I couldn't get it in! The with is standard 60cm but the front legs won't go up far enough to clear the laminate flooring before dropping down enough to let it level up. There's probably an easy solution but at nearly 9.30pm and having been up since 6am - I've had enough!

Any solutions welcome sorry to rant on my 8,000th post!

Don't be so lazy and wash by hand.:ears:

We are about to take delivery of our first ever dishwasher. It will be fitted for us, otherwise I would have asked you to help Chris.

Go to bed and dream of sunny fairways and playing great golf. It won't seem as bad in the morning, tiredness turns mole hills into mountains.

Got it in further after I posted. Just want to fit the door tomorrow then check everything and push the button!

We've washed by hand for two weeks now, for the first time in about 20 years!

I will dream of swimming in the Caribbean - it's apt as our place is still waterlogged!

It wouldn't be the first time you've asked me to put something in fir you Rich ....... Sorry I thought this was the gay sports person thread !

Me & the missus bought our first flat a year ago, it came with the dishwasher fitted. It broke over the autumn, and Hotpoint want £100 to fix the thing. I've tried looking at getting the parts in myself, but its apparently the circuit board & heating element that has gone, so at the moment it's a very useless piece of kit. Living on the 2nd floor of a small block of flats doesn't mean it's easy to get rid of, either!!

Why do people wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher?
The reason I have never bought one.

If plate is messy I'll give it a quick rinse to get remnants of food off. Everything else just goes in - though I don't really understand why my wife thinks that everything should go into the dishwasher. So for instance - a pair of scissors used to snip bacon - into the dishwasher. Noooo - I say to Mrs - just wipe the blades else we run out of scissors as they are all in dishwasher. It's that it's easy I guess.

I need a new dishwasher too. I could fit it myself, but I'm lazy. I'm going to pay 85 for fitting and let someone else do it.

In the mean time, I'll just have to use the other one.
