finally took the waterproofs out of the bag since the start of last autum, even left them in during the nice weather last week,i then proceeded to get absolutely soaked today, walked off after nine.is this sods law or my stupidity for not taking weather forcast seriously.

Ha ha ha, same happend to me on Saturday- got to the 18th played my approach and the sky just opened. Was soaked through to the skin in seconds.

I had a laugh to myself when I got home and re-packed the umbrella and jacket.

no mate i'm a carrier, the clubs normally sit on a rug on the back seat, otherwise i have to take them out of the bag and all that pallaver, dont fancy doing that with a powercaddy although it could all change after tommorow.stupid tracker on the company motor.the waterproofs will be staying in the bag permanently after today.

driving range to be exact,i'm a scaffold company safety officer/supervisor,the company is owned by my dad and uncle.my job entails most of the day being spent outside our office, checking jobs etc,i used to spend alot of that time at a local range, till the trackers were fitted and i was caught out, they weren't best pleased.now i'm given a job list at the start of the day and once it's done i can go home as long as i dont go to the pub(incase a safety job comes up i'm alright)although they usually take most of the day so i dont get away with to much, also using the company car for personal use is a bit of a no-no as my uncle is a tightarse with the fuel bills.

Am I the only person on this golfing planety that cant hit a ball when wearing waterproofs?
Id rather get soaked wearing a jumper (carry a spare one!) as long as my towels stayed dry and I could get a dry grip for each shot.

Oh damn, you've just blown every preconception I had about you. The dangers of the internet. Try working for someone that ain't family. You would appear to have what is known as quite a nice little number going on there. Unless of course your wife is a lawyer / accountant etc. Which might explain one or two things.

Apologies if that came across negatively, it wasn't meant to. Work gets in the way of everything and it can be harder working for the family as oppossed to an unrelated boss. Lesson learnt about which car to take next time then.

what preconception did you have of me? i wont be offended,my gf is part owner of a fashionable hair salon in m/bro,head stylist aswell, her and her friend started it from scratch a year ago, she's a clever girl.definately is harder working for family although people would believe you have an easier ride.have worked for two other firms in the past, family squables etc.

Not really sure, perhaps a little more self made perhaps, certainly not a safety officer (urhhh) but for all I know you could be the one driving the biz forwards. Also didn't realise that working for family paid enough to buy Range Rovers, X5s etc. Must check at work what the useless family members that do nowt get paid!!!

Anyhow it don't change anything, and none meant!

i do get a pretty good salary, and our house was inherited from my gf's grandmother,so no mortgage, however it has been put up as collateral on a buisness loan for her shop but thats doing pretty well,so all in all were pretty lucky with a decent amount of disposable income at the minuite.i know what you mean about the safety officer thing, sometimes i hate myself.i do miss the working on the tools myself, however it was all done with a view to me taking control of the firm in the next couple of years, which was something to look towards when doing all the courses, however the driving range incident may have set me back a year or two lol.i think you now know more about me than i do myself lol

mine are 30, 28 and 23 - was there when they were all born - absolute must. both boys are taller than me, the middle one is massive and my daughters just back from a year in Thailand, NZ and Oz - really changed, very independent and self-assured (except where spiders and brown snakes are concerned) - love em to bits.
