Played in club champ today-scored 123. Big nasty round. Trouble is its over two days so got to go tomorrow and try not to cry on the first tee. Also have a couple of questions about what happened.
Par 3 first shot went left, edge of green on the fringe. Wanted to putt but there was a sprinkler hole in way so chipped over. Is this correct?
Sliced off the tee and landed on the green of another hole. I used my putter to play onto fairway to then hit iron could i have had relief?
Advice appreciated. Also kind words of reassurance welcome!

Ever heard of punctuation? I'm struggling to work out what you are asking.

I think I've worked it out! Sprinkler head I think would be covered in a local rule of it's less than 2 yards fom the green or something??

Other putting green - free drop, nearest point of relief and no nearer the pin.

Good luck tomorrow. It can't get any worse...

never heard of that one. If sprinkler head interferes with your swing or stance you get relief, not if its in the path of your intended shot.
Other green, lift and drop nearest point of relief, no penalty

What are the pre requisites to enter your club championships?

Hopefully it's any paid-up Member allowed in otherwise it's not a "Club" Championship only a "Low Handicapper's" Championship.
Everyone should be able to play even if they have no chance of winning..........

First situation re sprinkler head - recommended local rule:

“Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 24-2.
In addition, if a ball lies through the green and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief as follows:
The ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.
If the player’s ball lies on the putting green and an immovable obstruction within two club-lengths of the putting green intervenes on his line of putt, the player may take relief as follows:
The ball must be lifted and placed at the nearest point to where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a hazard.
The ball may be cleaned when lifted.

Second situation re ball on wrong putting green - Rule 25 -3b:

. Relief
If a player’s ball lies on a wrong putting green, he must not play the ball as it lies. He must take relief, without penalty, as follows:
The player must lift the ball and drop it within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. The nearest point of relief must not be in a hazard or on a putting green. When dropping the ball within one club-length of the nearest point of relief, the ball must first strike a part of the course at a spot that avoids interference by the wrong putting green and is not in a hazard and not on a putting green. The ball may be cleaned when lifted under this Rule.

Add 2 more strokes to your 123 -

Club championship should be scratch, so cat 1, with some single digit h/cap to make up the numbers.

Can't see why any thing else would be ok.

The competition is open to any member of the club as long as you have a handicap. Thanks for clearing up the rules queries hopefully dont find any problems sunday.
Thanks again

It usually comes down to a matter of numbers - priority to scratch and better, then the rest of Cat 1. If numbers are no problem, Club Championship to best gross and a shield for the best nett.

Ours has two trophies, scratch and nett.
Scratch is open to a max of 8 handicaps while the nett is made up of the top 36 or so qualifiers from monthly medal totals (best 4 cards iirc)
