Welcome Bob, Carry on using the clubs your using on the pitch and putt and invest in some lessons.

New clubs are useless in the wrong hands, just ask Homer

Hi Bob

What clubs do you mean....woods, irons, wedges or putter??

Welcome along. Have you had any lessons? If so ask your pro for his advice. If not I agree that lessons with give you a solid foundation to take forward. Loads of second hand clubs out there, especially places like Golfbidder (not necessarily the cheapest but a huge stock). Get out onto a proper course as soon as you can. It's a world away from a pitch and putt

Get out on a course and play - see what's going on, see how you like it and what happens as you try to hit greater distances. Don't fret too much and get bogged down: there's very little actual difference between makes of clubs.

When you've some idea of where your shots go get to a professional and tell him/her: then buy a set you like and stick with them for a while until you've built a bit of experience.

Many thanks to every reply it really helped me make up my mind on how to proceed, And i am going to get some lessons under my belt before i even think about new clubs or any make. And to get on a full proper 18 hole golf course is my goal when i think i am ready for it, I do love playing and really enjoy it a lot, Many thanks again for all your great advice.

Bob
