What would happen to the cost of your membership if say all the lady members of your club left ?
Then the juniors, they're just a bunch of unwashed hoodies.
Then the seniors next?
Finally, probably, the badly trousered society with sox tucked in at knee level who book the tee for up to a whole hour on a Monday morning.
Is there anyone else you don't want playing on your course?
Apart from car salesmen, obviously

Hyperthetically i dont think there would be a club left to run :)

ouch Bob, I know what your getting at though. Personally golf is a hobby, open to anyone and as paying members of a club everyone should have equal rights and status regardless of age, sex or ability!

Now when it comes to etiquette, allowing fast players through and so forth then that is also something everyone should observe and respect.

....Thinks Teegirl may have bobs password

Seriously though if you join any form of club you take the rough with the smooth if you dont like it move on

Just my thoughts

I think the answer is fairly obvious. Love them or loathe them the women and the seniors represent the core of the club during the week. Take them away and you lose a large proportion of your wet and dry trade and so costs for those remaining spiral. Others follow and leave and the club folds. We need to maintain a status quo between seniors, five days and women members to benefit the others
