Went out last night with some friends I have not seen for ages, night started well with chatting and a few drinks then moved rapidly on and escalated into a full blown beer fest, ending in a horrible kebab at 2.30 this morning.

I can still taste the kebab no mater how many times I brush my teeth, my head feels like my brain is going to pop and I stink, so my question is whats the best hang over cure?

P.S the lime green on the forum really aint good in my condition.

As a master-drinker of biblical proportions (well was!) my advice would be as follows.

1) Drink a pint of water with 2 teaspoons of salt stirred in.

2) The taste in your mouth is due to the overactivity of the digestive juices in your stomach hence you have mild reflux. Take a couple of antacids.

3) Eat some toast.

4) Paracetamol, DO NOT take ibubrofen or asprin as these are non-steroidal anti-inflammatories which will onluy churn the stomach up more.

Hope you feel better!

Had nearly four liters of water so far, and just had cheese on toast with lea & perrins on top (Yum)

I never take paracetamol etc unless I am really really in need.

bit too late now, but we used to keep a big box of ibuprofen in the crewroom which we would take before a heavy session. no hangovers but the kebab's all yours.

I agree. I was always told that the best cure for a hangover is a sugary drink but not one with caffeine in. As a result I swear by orange Tango with a couple of bags of cheesy Wotsits.

It helps greatly if it's ice cold and must be from a glass bottle - no cans or plastic, they make it taste different!

Also - beans on toast is the perfect Sunday morning accompaniment to the Bru if you've been on the " fallin' doon watter"

hangovers are a distant memeory for me :(

The joys of having a 2 year old who wakes up at 3 in the morning!

The worst thing about kebabs is when you leave some of the meat and when you get up in the morning its gone all white bleeeeurgh
