Play suspended on day two, I see from the leader board everyones score has gone down as par.

BUT, i read on the European tour website that they intend on sending the players out for 27 holes on day 3 if they can. Being quite new to the sport (12months) I always wondered what happened in the event a day couldn't be played and now I know, but, what if they cant play on 3rd day or 4th day? Would Stensen take home the prize at 7-?

And what do you guys think the players feel about playing 2 rounds in a day? I know they do it in the ryder cup but surely two rounds of stroke play is quite tough for the average golfer so how do pro's feel about it? Are they more than fit enough, have all the right supplements and help from caddies to maintain enough energy?

If there in the zone are they happy to get out and play on the back of a great round? If they play badly are they going to want to get on the range and have a good nights sleep instead of going back out for another afternoon?

How would you guys feel about it if you were playing?

No-one actually started did they? So round 2 would then still be be started/completed.

So they play round 2 and as much as round 3 as possible tomorrow then the rest of 3 and 4 on Sunday. They have to all play a minimum of 2 rounds to make a tournament and whoever is winning after that they would win (McGinley playoff in Wales a few years ago?)but there is a cut in prize money, same goes after round 3 with a bit more money but not all of it I think.

You must also think that 3 games in 8 days for a footballer is too much too - they're all atheletes, have some else carrying the bag - 36 holes ain't that hard even if you are carrying your own bag.....

No Sammybee you misunderstood me, I dont think that 3 games in 8 days is too much for a footballer at all. I was asking what others thought about it and what they thought pro's thought about it.

Being a very active lad and ex Marine I used to play sport everyday. Football matches 3 times a week when we had to catch up from winter games that were cancelled. I play golf atleast twice a week myself sometimes even 3 and I always carry.
If I am not doing that I am out walking or on my bike if not running etc.

I am a firm beleiver that professional sports people should play everyday if required, especially footballers!

Basketballers play 3 games a week so why can't footballers?

I was more interested in how the pros felt about going out almost immediatly on the back of a bad round, mental fatigue etc. I loosely wanted to know if any pro's did make it common knowledge that they don't like playing more than once a day so I could discuss it and compare it to similar occurences, (like football)

Good man!

As in some of my early posts - Professional golfers only care 2 things - themselves and money....if playing 2 rounds in a day gets them 100% prize money as opposed to 50% then they'll just get on with it.....

In fact, it probably breaks up normal tournament day monotomy of eat, practice, play, practice, gym, eat, (beer if you're Nick Doughert), bed.....

Hope no-ones backed Clarke to win though now!!
