I went off at 9:30 this morning and shot a very respectable 39 points, Considering the amount I drank and getting to sleep at 3:45, HAPPY DAYS! :D

Turned up at the club with a savage hangover and 5 minutes till tee time, thinking it was medal I was bricking it as I have had 0.1 added onto my handicap the last two medals I played in. Found out it was stableford and had a sneaky grin before drugging myself up with Ibuprofen and M + S BLT sarnies and off I went.

Played with some great lads, and really enjoyed the day. Cant wait to get out tomorrow and try and do the same, however, don't think ill be hitting the booze as hard tonight!

pitched up at 7.30a.m for the monthly medal complete with hangover, scrambled round on 87 less 3 for a staggering net 84 (with a 2 on my card)to find out that the medal had been cancelled and we were the only group to finish, went to watch my team overhaul their great rivals to go top of the league, back home for a quick nap, awake to find that my £25 bet on Liverpool and Burnley has come in, so £65 richer I find myself heading to the boozer, fantastic!

I gave Steve a lesson at 9.00-9.45, then the juniors 10-11, then Andy 11.15-12.15. Then played 3 holes in a gale force wind then drove to another range to give Sylvia a lesson from 2-3. Then home, feet up, dinner, feet up again.
Appy Saturday :D :D :D
P.s. A day off tomorrow, might go and play 9 with Jan :D

No golf today unfortunately.

Been saving my marriage working in the garden!!!!
It looked a right mess, looks a lot better now and the missus is pleased.

Bought some new golf shoes though. Trying them out tomorrow! Can't wait, let's hope its gonna be a nice day tomorrow.

Had a last minute knock at my old club with a pal who would have been on his jack.

Scored it as a medal round for handicap observations and shot 87 which was very pleasing.

Was -2 for the par-3's with 2 birdies and 5 pars, and birdied one of the par 5's also.

The other 10 holes were played well with no worse than a double.

Played to an 18 h/cap today.

Rained off as I drove into the carpark, the greens around the clubhouse (two tier) were flooded as it was teaming down so heavily.
On the plus side, Im playing Ardglass tomorrow
some of you may remember this place mentioned before.

Its a cracking course and looks like its going to be windy tomorrow :D

The plan was :

Work 'til 2pm,
Tee Off at 3pm,
Pub by 8pm.

What actually happened :

Worked 'til 2pm
Met at work by Mrs, then told that today was a good day to put deposit down on the car.
Visit Costco, M and S, then Tesco on way home, arrived home at 7pm, no time for golf.

Mates kid not well, pub cancelled.

It's OK though, tomorrow I'm free all day. I might get to play 36 if the weather co-operates.

Following a rather nervous 24 hours healthwise I went out and hit some balls at the range this morning. Not great and a lot of hooks and a very quick tempo (even for me for those that have seen my swing!!)

Played 18 this afternoon. Good in patches and rubbish in others but good to be out. Off to get my gear sorted for tomorrows challenge match at Leatherhead (think a natty blue ensemble) and I might even get HID to clean my clubs

I had to laugh at your post Basher and how i can relate to it.

No golf today for me either, so cut the grass front and back, looks nice 'n tidy, the wife will be happy! :D

Playing tomorrow in the Gala day from the Winter League, breakfast, 18 holes, presentation jacket and tie job.
Hoping for good weather!

Golfmmad.

:D :D :D
Where did the antelope come from ? lol

Was struggling to think of something that begins with 'A', so I plumped for an animal that has infinitely more golfing skill than myself. 27 points today....brilliant. My irons were about as much use to me as chocolate oven gloves. Putted alright though....

MWJ - Was touch and go - spent 3 hours in isolation between midnight and 3.00am this morning and had the swabs etc but it came back negative. Just got to monitor the situation and go back if it goes downhill again. Apparently Wexham hospital in Slough has a case at the moment and our hospital has tested 67 possible cases all of which are negative so far

awful,awful bloody awful!
Bogied the last for 38 points this morning, par would have won me the school coin...got home to watch a match and I'll stop there as the day just got worse and worse....roll on tomorrow!

On reflection it was a good round. I started well, had a wobble in the middle of the front 9, back to back 7's on par 4's, steady coming back before a late rally that almost came apart on the last as I stuck one O.O.B. Finished with a net 69 that will likely be CSS.

I am starting to consistantly post rounds of 82-84, so feeling comfortable with my handicap and know I am getting a few chances in each round to pick up a shot here and there.
