Hows your Game shaping up?

I'm hopeful it will be a good first ever officially handicapped season for me...

I think, and I only think....that I've managed to fix my slice with the driver all by myself but now that I've typed up my quiet confidence on ere, it'll all go paired shaped just in time for the KoK meet next week! Initial practise rounds with my swing were promising so here's hoping... And fatting irons had suddenly become an issue but again, I think I have fixed it with some slight changes.

Our course now is open and playing to its full yardage so I'm going to be putting my first card in of the three for my handicap on Tuesday - not the best time to be fiddling with swing changes but all being well 2 rounds between now and Tuesday will help settle the nerves!

Really looking forward to this season.

I cant say my game has moved on any since last season. Ive only lifted a club at the weekend. been to the range a handful of times at most.

the only thing that has changed is the clubs!

After my round today I'd like to amend my prevous post stating that I was optimistic, today was absolute rubbish, in all departments.

I need to get my head sorted and into scoring mode ready for qualifiers, I'm not concentrating on what my objective for the shot is, I'm thinking negative thoughts and sometimes I'm just making a half-hearted swing/putt.

The annoying thing about today was that it felt like a complete waste of a round, I look forward to it all week and then don't seem to care once I'm out there.

Good point!
I'd read it that they were misses and Imurg had meant to write 6 feet.

Ha!
Had a lot of 15-20 footers and got them all close - completely different card if 2 or 3 of them drop.
A couple of Brazilians and a couple that defied the laws of physics!

Followed up Thursday with a solid 35 points in the roll up including two no score holes. Didn't swing it as great as KoK but got it round. Even managed to get up and down four times so even the short game is coming on.

Non too shabby at the moment.........this week I've had 34 points with 3 blobs at the Berkshire, 3 over gross with a double and crap putting at Camberley, currently 2nd in the order of merit at the Centurion........quite pleased with how the season is progressing.

I thought it was shaping up OK over the winter, but, after today's performance, where I thought I played like a knob, I am questioning it. I struggled at the start today because I had my injury in my head and it took me a few holes to get it out and relax and then I started to scramble well and get off the the tee much better, I finished with 35 points with 2 blobs with the tee blocks moved back and no temps so I suppose I should be pleased, but I'm not!!

Hopefully just hopefully it seems in good nick ..

first medal of the year tomorrow so i guess by 2pm tomorrow i will have better idea ha ..

playing with a nice freedom of what happens happens just deal with it and make the next shot better, for now at least

Really looking forward to it...... Been scoring well, not particularly playing well......... Think it shows how much I think I have come on when I thought I played poorly last week to count the score up to show -1 on handicap..... And then there's the 78 last time out.... I'm still on a high after that and dare not go out .. Lol!!

Now to do it when it counts !!

Put my first card in for handicap today as part of Winter medal.

Really disappointing as I played nothing like I have recently. I was hitting some par 5s in 2, some par 3 and par 4s in regulation but 3 putted practically every green, on one hole it took me 5 to get down from 10 yards. Confidence completely drained.

Will try again tomorrow, trying to stay positive :-)

I'm sure once the new bats settle in you'll be fine. It's taken me a couple of months and I'm now happy!

Gross 77 in the roll-up for 37 points. I even had room to 3-stab twice and hit a ball OB on our par 3 17th and still make bogey

Lost 2 stone since first week of new year and probs hitting the ball best I've ever hit it (although lindrick was a different story)
Just can't buy a putt at the moment

Probs be totally different today
