As the post said, Hows you day gone?

I went off at 14:00 and played a full round in 3:45 so happy days with that. I shot 94, 24 over par, considering how I played with Leftie yesterday im happy.

My short game was so much better after Lefties advice, (cheers mate I owe you a beer) I attacked with my wedges and bumped my 9 iron up several times with decent success.

Not out tomorrow as im cream crackered.

I had a nightmare ,I played in the club medal in the pouring rain and putted like a muppet when I finished I walked straight into the pro shop picked up the first putter I saw and bought it .Then when I had calmed down on the way home I thought S##t Ive just spent £100 on a putter Ive never even tried DOH.

Had a bunker lesson this morning which was difficult but I think I'm ont he right road. I hit a basket beforehand which was truely shocking but got it back with the 30 or so balls left at the end of the lesson especially with the new driver.

Went to Ascot this afternoon to work on the bunker lesson technique and also spent an hour or so hitting pitch shots. I'm starting to get a consistant distance and flight and was knocking the flag out from about 55 yards with a 1/2 swung 56 wedge. Weather forecast not great tomorrow so might just tweak the longer game

I was at work all day, it's dark now and I'm too knackered to go to the range. I can't play tomorrow either, and haven't been on the course for just under 2 weeks now. :( My game was in great condition before this brief lay off as well.

My day went feeding horses, training my dog, beating up the kids, fixing bikes, building a guinea pig run, answering the phone too often and cooking dinner. No Golf, so it didnt go that well really. ;)

Why oh why did you have to ask!!

Shocker. It was either net pars and birdies or 10 plus's, and a 14 thrown in for good measure. Oh, and it was a medal!! H'cap up another 0.1 :(

Half of the holes proves that I can play this game, the other half says take up something else!! :D

Last hole, out drove the guys, only difference was they were all using drivers, and me, my new G10 3 wood on a 240 drive. Wey hey!! :D (I won't mention the disasters elsewhere though!!)

Hey Hapless, you didnt have to follow my medal round from a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't a challenge you know? :)

That's given me an idea.

Top Trumps online. eg. highest gross score on a par 4!!!

Maybe not.

:) I hit another 4 balls off the tee on one hole following an OOB once :o :D

Had a really bizarre round this morning playing at my local par 3 course.

First 9 I seemed to be striking the ball well but not getting much out of it, several irritating 3-putts and some abysmal attempts at chipping saw me to a 38 (par 27).

Second 9 my ball striking seemed to deteriorate badly but the putter came alive and I managed 3 (yes 3!) 2's, 1 was a putt from off the green, then a chip-in from just off the green at the next hole and later on a 'proper' 2 as well. A couple of silly 5's to finish with 32, my best ever over 9 holes.

Not sure whether to be delighted or disappointed as it could have been even better.

Had a great round in a club 4bbb. My partner off 6 and me off 9 and we came in with 49 points (26 + 23). I shot level par myself with 6 birdies and my partner slotted in nicely when i boobed a couple of holes.
Out for a club stableford tomorrow and heres hoping it goes just as well

Had a pretty good round again. A 97. So another score under 100, which is good going for me.

71% fairways hit again with my trusty driver. Irons let me down again and couple of duffed chip shots.

Par 3's really cost me as well. Got a nice par on the first of them. Arrowed an 8 iron to 10ft from the pin then 2 putted.

That was followed by a 6, 5 and another 5 on the other 3.

So pretty happy with that.

Had a cracking front 9 today - 20 points including 3 birdies and then fell back with only 15 coming home. 83 gross (nett +2). Needn't have bothered - competition was won by a guy off 13 scoring 45 points (again but a different guy this time). 2 x 43's and a 42 came in next.

Worked all day and the range was shut early due to a power cut on the way home. Not a good day.I could really do with a bit of practice before my lesson from happless next week.

Played in the Captains Drive, yesterday a team event--teams consisted of 3 men & one female--2 to score on all holes wth 3 to score on 9 & 18. We were short a female team member.
We played poorly as a team scored 79 pts, winner came in with 94 pts.

Received Good news when i went to the club yesterday--came second in class last week in our matchpaly qualifier and qualified top 10. Hoping to go better than last year when i lost in the semi final.

Played Friday, and trying to change my swing (I want a draw). Shot 7 pars in a row, and even with a treble (lost focus) easily hit 12 over, and bogeyed the last two in the dark.
Played Saturday, and when the new swing works, it is awesome. When it doesn't, rubbish. Worth persevering though. Shot 31 points, which sounds poor, holed 3 20 footers, and had 3 lip out. Was solid from 6ft and in, just erratic with the irons and driver. Hit one solid 5i, 170 into wind, trouble is, I only wanted 160 to the back of the green. Deep into the bundhu, but still smiling at the strike.

Played very well yesterday, medal off the winter tees shot a gross 77, nett 67, with 3 3 putts  and one drive out of bounds, other than that hit the irons solid and scrambled well so cant be too dissapointed just feel that there is a lot more to come, cant wait for the season to start properly

Had a good day of practicing. Went to Royal Ascot this morning. It was blowing a gale and bitter so glad I was only working on my pitching and bunker play. I feel a lot more comfortable with my ptiching now and understand the need to keep in front of the ball and let the lenghth of arm swing dictate the distance.

My bunker play was getting better but still hit the odd one fat and left it in or screamed one with no sand some 40 yards. Its still a work in progress following the changes made in my lesson yesterday.

Went to Maidenhead Golf Centre this afternoon to hit some long shots. I was swinging pretty well in general and worked on a slower tempo. Have to say the new R7 LImited was on fire and was going miles. Thats not going very far from my bag any time soon
