April medal yesterday, it was raining cats and dogs, wind was gusting, I had no waterproof trousers!

I managed to be a big boy and got on with it, slapped my way round to a gross 74, nett 69, by miles the best scratch score of the day.....

But the medal was cancelled ! Oh, and I had a 2 as well, so my money for that is gone. Would've been a nice cut too but there you go. The plus side is I really didn't play all that well but my putting was good. One of those rounds where you just get it round with no disasters.

Not sure Phil , spoke to the pro but as I'm cat 1 he's not sure of the rules. I still played the course in medal conditions but he doesn't know about CSS etc. I put my card in so we'll see what happens, if anything I've learned that I do need to invest in some waterproofs

Im sure when our presidents putter was cancelled mid way through the people that put cards in had handicaps adjusted according - no point 1's but cuts if necessary

you should get a cut as it should become a 'reduction only' comp with hcp cuts made against the SSS not estimated CSS (providing your SSS is 70 or more)

had similar- very annoying when you soldier on round and all the pussys who walked in or didnt play get a 'get out of jail card'

Cheers, must admit I did have thoughts about walking in myself but put a brave face on it. It wasn't pleasant, my main gripe is that we went out in the last few groups and it was a qualifier for another competition so I've lost that too (for now). Not sure when it was cancelled but a fair percentage had already completed the round.

That's life sometimes, pleased I hung on at least

To be honest no! Very odd area of standing water, we started in the worst of it. I shot 74, brother shot 77 and playing partner had a nett 69 too so it certainly wasn't unplayable. I think a lot of the morning starters had complained to be honest. Sour grapes? Me? Never

And I see no reason why you will lose your 2's sweep money, surely that will be refunded?
