When I got my new ORKA irons, I had decided on a 3 wedge set up...... PW, 52 & 60. I had decided that I would prefer to carry an additional hybrid and that opening up the 52 would be OK for when I needed a 56 degree yardage.

Well in the few rounds I have played so far, I have needed that yardage quite a few times and getting varying results with the 52, so decided to take the plunge and get the 56....

So I texted Alex this morning and asked him how long it would take him to build me the wedge.......30 secs later the reply was.......

"will build it today..... Mid sized grip wasn't it?....1/4" longer with Lampkin Crossline grip?". Glue will need a bit of time to dry so you can collect it tomorrow or do you want me to meet you halfway up the M1 with it as I know it's a fair drive for you to my place?"

I just thought how refreshing this attitude was and just wanted to share it with you and to say thanks to ORKA for their continued service and support......

Very very few modern clubs have a PW with more than 47 or 48 degrees of loft.

I too remember when 50 degrees was the norm, but I also remember warm summers, 3 channels on TV and Jack Nicklaus being the man to beat.

Sounds like excellent customer service to me. Nice.

4 wedges is a no-no though. Too much choice surely?! :)

Whatever floats your boat though Rick...
