Good luck if your playing today,
seems the forecast was right for a change :ooo:

Went to let the dog out, she took one look outside and got back on her bed ,
probably the right idea :D

7.45 tee off for me, now where did i put the hip flask ;)

HID is out at 8.00 this morning. Not quite as windy here as it has been on and off all week but it's currently dry which makes a change. I'm supposed to be out this afternoon so fingers crossed it stays like this.

From the bbc;

A swathe of gale force north to northwesterly winds, accompanied by bands of rain and snow, will move south across much of central and southern Britain today Wind gusts of 50-60 mph are likely in places, especially near coasts, with 60-70 mph gusts possible near eastern coasts. In any one area, the strongest winds will last for only a few hours, clearing last from southeastern areas of England.

Additionally, some of the snow will settle this morning, especially on higher ground, but also temporarily at low levels, with a couple of cm in places. Ice will be an additional hazard. Please be aware of the likelihood of some difficult driving conditions and possible travel disruption due to any of these factors.

Couple of courses around me have already Tweeted that they've cancelled comps as there's snow still on the ground and it's too slushy, we've got snow on my lawn but nothing major, might need some yellow balls before Christmas!

Opened the patio door to let Max out and he also just turned around, it's bitterly cold out there, it's a real test for my Galvin Green Layer System today!

I normally hate having to do work on a Saturday as I look out the window today I don't mind at all !!

Up at 6.15 for a 7.30 tee. No chance. Not on account of the winds but a snow-covered course and dangerous route thereto. Bugger.

Quite nice here, course is actually open, however it's also a weekend where I can't play as I've got other stuff on. Had to sort out a sub for my winter league match tomorrow.

Sods law.

This is the first weekend in eight where I've had nothing on and been able to get out, as well. Would also have been my first time out with the new clubs. Very frustrating.

We had snow in Hastings this morning Geezer.
Not much, but definitely big flakes.
Didn't settle 'cos the grounds too wet, but it's a coming.

Will be coming a lot later as the cold snap going to be over by Tuesday - back up to 9 degrees by Thursday

Was out at 7:30 this morning. It was wet (and a little snowy), windy and cold early on but the wet cleared after a few holes. I shot 79 (+10) which wasn't bad in the conditions.

I drove down the M3 from West London to Basingstoke late yesterday evening (via a diversion between J2 and J3 due to the long ongoing roadworks). Between J3 and J4 it started snowing quite heavily, it was obviously quite blustery by the way my car was being blown around, and the outside air temperature dropped from 6 degrees to 1 degree. I guess that I had driven through a cold front. We had played golf earlier in the day and it had actually been quite pleasant!

Bloody freezing when I left the pub last night, not that I was in any state to really take too much notice but bitter around the kebab van. Definitely wasn't going to play today and by all accounts it was carnage out there today. Perhaps I'm becoming a fair weather player but I can't see any benefit playing in those conditions and struggling, getting cold and fed up. Tomorrow on the other hand looks bracing but far more golfable

3 club wind, zero temperature that felt like -3 but with only a 3 layer Galvin Green system on I was never cold or restricted so I enjoyed my day at The Nottinghamshire which was in excellent condition for the time of year, but Gary (Region3) has broken me ☹
