Does anyone use this website? I have only just joined my club fully and able to play in Saturday comps, I registered on this site but in the 3 comps I have played in so far, I get an email saying results are available but my name is not on the results list. I think my club has a rule were you need to play in 3 comps before you can win (I can't sign in on the system before teeing off so they said to put on my card 'cant sign in' and after 3 qualifying comps I should be able to sign in. I am not able to play for the next 2 weeks so can't ask at the club about the howdidido site.

Does anyone elses club have the 3 qualifying games rule? How does it work over winter when all the comps are only 15 holes? Will I need to wait till next season now before I am eligible to win anything?

I found I had to wait for the handicap committee at my club to register my scores on HDID before it had me on there.

Sent me your name and golf club if you wish in a PM and I will search for you to see if you are on the system there yet.

If your score has been entered into the competition then it ought to appear when the competition is uploaded to HDID.

My club uses Howdidido! Its brilliant!
If you have an official active handicap you can win comps. No 2 ways about it!

Sounds like you've got confused by the entry of 3 cards to get a handicap. You must enter 3 cards either in a competition or in a normal round via a club member marking your card. If you have played in 3 competitions now you should of had a handicap produced. It won't include you in the list of entrants because you did not have a handicap - you should now though. Hope you didn't pay for the comp with no been able to win

The club should adjust there CSS and SSS on the system during the winter and the handicap will adjust accordingly. But most clubs don't have official comps in the winter.

When you register on hdido you also need to associate yourself with your home club

Hi guys thanks for your replies, yes I did my 3 handicap rounds a while ago, handicap of 20 registered on howdidido and associated myself with Hazel grove. I can view comp results for Hazel grove, but I'm not listed in them, I'll ask at the pro shop and see what they say

Danny is right you do have to play in three qualifying comps in order for your handicap to become competitive and lots of clubs have this rule. Danny I don,t know about you not being able to win anything as all our winter comps are none qualifying so you should be OK.
Why don't you ring Phil Hartley the comp sec who should be able to tell you. I've not seen you for a while but I think I saw you teeing of early one Saturday I will say hello next time I see you and we must have a game.

Thanks Rick, yes I joined fully 4 weeks ago so played in the Saturday comps, I try and get out early as I have football at 2. I've just sent James an email as I had a lesson on Saturday but can't play now as got other plans, i mentioned about the howdidido website to see if he know anything. I can't sign in on the computer before tee off and James said he thinks it's too do with me not having 3 qualifying rounds yet. I will try and contact Phil.

if you still have my number gimme a text when you're free for a game. I was going to try and book a Saturday on your group but there are too many ricks I don't know which is you 😅

Regardless of HDID, your playing record is automatically uploaded to the England Golf CDH (Central Database of Handicaps) and can be viewed on the Members' Benefits page.
