How to present your Golf Club....

are you snooping for opens comps - too young for the seniors open!!

Nooo! Although I have to admit I did have a sneaky look at the entry criteria and yes, I'm too young!
Looking for a game the day before the Open at Hankley Common to save me the journey up there first thing in the morning and Liphook had been suggested. I'd heard it was a very nice course and decided to check out the website.
It does look superb.

looks a good website to be fair! my club site isn't too bad and the members area is good for all the results of comps etc. don't think it's quite up to liphooks website mind.

Ours had been out of date for a number of years and frankly it was awful.

Was redesigned in November last year to a big fanfare from the committee with promises it would be relevant and up to date.

Not looked at it too often, but throughout December with the course under 8 inches of snow the course status on the homepage said OPEN

I suppose at £58 a round weekday and £74 a round on weekends for visitors they can afford to employ a decent web designer!!!!!

Smiffy - the Liphook website doesn't disappoint and neither does anything when you get there either.

BTW, just to ease you into the round....that's the 1st hole on the left hand side of the home page picture. Just your 200+ yard par 3.

The write up says easy up and down from a miss right!!!! I missed short right and was about 10 feet below the putting surface, hardly easy. Though I did get up & down.......................for my bogey 4 after chunking my first chip!! :o

First class club, course and food, you won't go wrong.

Sandmoor has a very good website.

I did ours In my spare time, its only been going for a few weeks but its growing and has only cost us £28!

If a club has a annual budget of a few hundred a year then you can pay a web design company to host and manage it.

To be honest, I don't mind a hole like that as my first.
I feel much better oinking a hybrid or long iron at a long par 3 where I might (might) be shotting than trying to dolly a bloody 9 iron or whatever on a short bugger where I'm not.
Really looking forward to playing it.
Going to play it in the afternooon prior to playing in the Mens Open at Hankley Common the following day. What a two course itinerary!!
