Got a few overseas friends coming to the UK and keen to watch Chelsea v Palace on Apr 1st. So am looking to organise some tickets. Is there a simple way to get access to Premier League tickets without a mortgage and without having to sign up for season tickets?

If tickets are available after members have bought them, then they go on general sale. Only place to get them from, surprisingly, is the Chelsea site. I think they'll go on sale soon to members...so keep your eyes peeled. Not sure if it costs to become a member, but might be worth a look...

I was working in Fulham when Chelsea played Colchester in the FA Cup. Had a few friends wanting to come down and see the game so I wandered over to the ticket office at Stamford Bridge and asked there. The conversation went something like....

Me - "How many tickets can I buy for the Cup game"
Her - "How many do you want"?
Me - "14"
Her - "Are you all Chelsea fans"?
Me - "Well me and my brother are Colchester fans and the rest are all neutrals"
Her - "Are you all Chelsea fans"?
Me - "Sorry I didn't understand the question. Yes we are all Chelsea fans"

No problems, 14 tickets purchased just like that.

I have heard chelsea champions league games advertised on the radio, on the day of the game. They often struggle to fill their ground, but apparently need a new, bigger one. Yeah, right.
