No - not the mini-skirted one in the office.

There is a recurring theme on clubs being run by the "old guard". At what age do you think a Club Secretary should be put out to grass to make way for new blood?

He's 51 and excellent. Equally, I've seen an excellent 80 year old retire from the post. Age has little to do with competence.

It's attitude that counts. I've met plenty of under 30s with old fashioned views and lots of over 50s with a progressive outlook on golf and the world as a whole.

I would never ask a lady her age, but compared to me she looks very young and does a great job. Those that played at the Society Challenge will testify to how helpful she was in getting a ringer in to play with Swinger.:D

We don't have one unfortunately but our club badly needs one.

We are lucky enough to have one on the forum though, who's in there 30s (just) and doing a cracking job at his club. So much better than the old *** that used to be there.

Early 30's and he is a top bloke.

Has some great ideas and as he does not play the course (even though he has complimentary membership) he takes the members opinions on board.
