My club was formed in 1817 so nearly 200 years old and has some history, the reason i ask is today is the Autumn Meeting and they play for the Gold Medal which was first played for in 1818 due to work i can't make.

So do you know the history of your club ? doe sit have any and are you interested in it , my club has a small exhibition of it in the foyer with loads of intersting facts about golf has evolved over the years

I would have though Donegal golf club was older as well. Bit shocked to see it was founded in 1959.

My club has been around since 1910 as a 9 hole course but only expanded to an 18 hole course in 1983.

Lucky enough to live just down the road from Royal North Devon (150 next year) and always enjoy walking around the club house and looking at the artefact they have around the club house. One or two of the members seem to be a bit older.

Newbury & Crookham Golf Club is an amalgamation of the 2 Newbury and Crookham Golf Clubs. The original Crookham Golf Club was established in 1873 and was the sixth oldest heath land course in the country. It was requisitioned by the Air Ministry during the Second World War and was mostly covered by an aircraft runway. Newbury District Golf Club was established in 1923 and 1947 saw the amalgamation of the two clubs.

It only opened in 2005 and in that time has really struggled to flourish due to lack of engagement with the paying members. A shame as they have a decent little nine hole set up that could be well supported if they'd just do more for us.
