I'd go up to £10k for a round with Tom Watson, and double it if it was at Augusta. The poor bank manager wouldn't like it, but she's bought a mountain of handbags in recent times.

Not sure I'd match your rates but would certainly go as high as I could and would get into four figures. Glad I'm not the only one with a wife with a handbag habit. Think she's more than golf shoes and most are designer and not cheap.
