Was looking at the magazine last night and saw the article on T shirts /Polos (or what ever u like to call them) , i was just wondering how much people on here who are obviously avid golfers would pay for them..

Can't see the £4.99 (or less) option.....

In which case I'd pay less than £30 (makes me sound less of a skinflint I 'spose) :p

Shouldn't it be <£30 rather than >£30

I wouldn't pay more than 30. Never have, never will. Dont mind last seasons design or colours etc in the sale. I don't think I have ever bought a full price polo shirt!

I would try pay sub-£25 for a polo shirt or tshirt

The only time I'd pay more for any sporting shirt is for a squash shirt - where heat/sweat/cooling peformance really does help!

No more than £30 really.. I might splash out if it's a nice one, but usually I wait until winter and buy in the sales for the next season.. It's not like I wear them away from the course anyway.. I'm strictly a jeans & T shirt person normally...

I would pay 31-50 and have done for shirts that I like. Would never go over that. usually just buy last season's stuff off eBay for sub 30 though.

One of my mates was wearing a £150 Boss polo shirt and looked the scruffiest git I'd ever seen on a course... that totally put me off spending that kind of money

Never more than 25 quid. The more expensive ones look no better on me and I only wear them for golf. Usually only spend £15

Another in the sub £30 bracket here - although some of the Bunker Mentality shirts are nice...

To be honest, with the number of discount routes to buy, theres no need to spend more than 30 quid.
Can't remember ever paying more than £25 for a shirt.
Went into the Boss shop at the PGA last year and just started laughing....

£30 for me too, got some galvins in the sale that I like (cheaper than £30 too) and have purchased a few lines when I goto America on my hols.

Was going to treat myself a few weeks a go to a nice Hugo Boss one which was £60 in the sale but when I put it on was poor quality and not a patch on my cheapo Puma ones, so did not buy :)

£30 max for a nice climate one

Usually £10-£15-£20 for cheap-fair-good

Anything more and I'd feel ripped off

on the subject of clothes, shame they don't sell them over here but Izod clothing is dirt cheap in the states and really top quality too! I know they are not a trendy brand but would recommend them though :)

Have paid up to £40 if I found a shirt I like and it's the best price, I like the new stuff Puma are churning out and they're normally about £10 cheaper than the Nike kit! Definitely wouldn't pay Galvin Green prices!

I've bought a few in the £31-£50 range, but the majority of my gear is sub £30. Always keep my eye out at the end of line or clearance stuff to save a few pennies.

Before my last purchase my highest price was £35 I would not have considered
much more.
However I just paid £90 for a Galvin Green top.
Imo a stupid amount for a top but I just loved the look of it.
Thankfully it fits perfect and does look the business.
Should last a couple of seasons at least so good value compared to a round
of golf that lasts 4 hours.
