How much on average would u say you spend on the driving range per month. I'm new to the game and can't get enough of going to the range to practice, but those £7.50 add up!

£7:50??!!!blimey that's steep.

Mine is £5 for 90 balls (i pay £4 as i am a member) you can also pay for a block and get a discount, something like £40 for 10 buckets..

I try and go twice a week, so about £30 odd quid a month...

Half price between 9am and 11am weekdays.

So about £30 a month then.

We pay a quid for 25 (mainly rubbish) balls and a digicard gets you 10 baskets for a tenner. Guess I spend £20 a month or thereabouts. Soon adds up even when cheap!

You can buy a credit (reward) card at the range that I use ... Twice a year I'll buy the 50 quid one and that gives me the maximum discount of 25%. Not to be quoted but I think that a basket of 50 is £3.70 then less my 25%, that's good enough for me

NB - I never take a wedge to the range, I do that elsewhere with my own balls. :fore:

Whilst I'm on that wedge subject I'm not one of those spams that has a Summer, Winter and Easter ball ... What a load of tosh that is.

If you go after the Beginners class then the balls are not that far away.......

My nearest is 5.50 for 100 but I have a mat and net in my garden that I use.

Apparently my nearest is £4.75 for 50, don't think I'll be rushing there! 1 of the few things I miss from Aldersey is the 480 yard practice ground, sure you need your own balls and have to collect them after you've hit em, but at that price I'd prefer the walk!

My local one is £1 for 25 balls but only about 200yds long so no scope for anything more than irons. The other nearest is about £6.60 for 100 balls with 33% student discount. I try not to go too often as I'm a poor student and it can soon add up, as this thread proves. Most posts in here spend more on the driving range per year than I am willing to spend on subs at a course.

The club are investing big money into our range for next season, a 2 tier covered Bay Area and all new balls, this is going to be available to members at £150 for a years membership with unlimited balls,... Can't wait
