How many tee times can you book?
You turn up at the pro shop early and want to book some tee times for next weeks comp.
How many are you allowed to book each?

Obviously doesn't apply to those of you who can book online

None - can only book myself into an competition slot that's available. On the odd occasion, and with reason, you could book one other person into the same time slot.

On the other hand, you can all book in online if you get organised!

Can only book one time same as online we used to be able to book 2 but it got abused .

Have noticed since the introduction of online booking at our place that certain members are abusing the system somewhat, booking a tee time for say 11am but seem to have somehow block booked a couple of tee times either side of it, presumably so that they can either rock up when they want and crack straight on or possibly so that they're not pressured by the next group off the tee or hindered by the group before, whichever reason it may be it's a bit of a piss take.

one per day (can also add people to make up a 4ball) This is only for a weekend, during the week its a roll up format for the first tee. (names on a list, which is abused by the seniors with 1 writing names on for the first hour every morning)

Comps are booked through the pro shop otherwise we can just rock up and play so long as there's no other closure

We can book online, 1 tee time for you and optionally two FCs. Personally I would prefer it if you could only book yourself, or if it were a random draw so that you could play with different people each week but I suspect I am in the minority there.

I suspect if you went into the shop it would be the same rule but have never tried it.

Outside of weekend comps there is no booking system, which I like

Competition round you can only book yourself in ... our are all random drawn, and booked on HDID anyway.

I can book 3 slots in the next eight days, all together if you want a small rollup, or spread out during the week if you want.

For Competitions you put your name on the board in a half an hour slot and it is a random draw who you play with. I like this as you get to play with other members.

Outside of comp you just turn up and play. If there is a line you just wait. Very rare that you have to wait more than a couple of groups.

No online booking required or available. I would hate to have to book tee times. Works well at our club.

Online only (but the pro will book for you from the pro shop) 1 tee time with as many players to fill the slot (usually 3 ball or 4 if team comp). Competition only, otherwise rock up and play, visiting parties etc permitting.

It it works very well.

No online booking (they think the fuddy duddies are not ready for it .....)

Only have booking at weekends before 2pm via pro shop as a rule (except some bank holidays) with different rules for Sat vs Sun (can you believe that ...) and it is one tee time.

One of the reasons I left my last club was around the online booking system.

Saturday morning between 8.30 and 11.00 was constantly booked. As in, you didn't have a chance of getting a slot within that time frame even if you camped on the system and waited two weeks in advance.

Extremely clique.

When the Director asked why I was leaving and I told him this was one of he reasons, he literally shrugged at me as he's one of the guys that always plays in that time period

As we don't have on-line booking, and the start sheet is just pinned on the noticeboard, then in theory you can fill out as many slots as you like. But in practice, people just book in their three ball.

And before folk throw up their hands in horror about lack of on-line - it's simply that there is no appetite for it amongst the membership. A mere mention of "bookable tee times" gets the rumblings going. Everyone is happy with a piece of paper on the wall for comp days, and rock-up & go for everything else. Having three start points probably helps I guess.
