Realized after my round yesterday that id not gone in a bunker for the last 3 rounds, quite unusual for me esp as i played a Muir of Ord and always go in at least one there.

whats the longest you have gone without ending up in a bunker?

William, you don't need to answer, i know you don't believe in them:rofl:

I tend to count in terms of holes as opposed to rounds :o

I think 8 is my current streak, although the first ten holes on saturday found me in 5 of them.

I notice from time to time I'll be bunker-free for a few rounds but can't be sure how many at most. Probably 2-3 tops.

But something I do notice and often remark upon with PPS. Go in one early doors in a round and there seems to be a ball magnet in every other one on the course after that:rolleyes:

i'll go a few rounds with no bunkers, then probably go in about 10 in one round!

I definitely can go several rounds at my home course without going in one, but have never counted.

It's a relief as bunker play is not good. It's also probably the reason my bunker play is not good...

I'll probably invest in the latest TM driver and take them all out of play..

Quite often go quite a few as there's so many at my place a lot of tee shots are determined by how to stay out of them!

Never really keep count though, no doubt now its on my mind I'll be in hundreds next time out!

Liverbirdie probably counts in years between being in bunkers due to the lucky bounce balls he uses.....

Well, at Michinhampton Old Course I've played dozens of rounds without being in the sand.

Simon.

(but there are none on the course so guess so has everyone else!)

I'll go months without going into a bunker. I will only EVER go into a bunker if I'm playing an away course.

*ahem, we have no bunkers at mine...

and another round today with out going in one. So 4 rounds now, Id better go and practice one night this week and can see this run coming to an end round the weekend.

Playing at home I can go months without going in one.
We only have 6 on 4 holes and 2 of them are so out of play for me I can't remember if I've actually ever been in them.
One is a fairway bunker that I rarely see, the other 3 are green side and only 2 of them ever catch me and that doesn't happen much to be honest.
The problem is that I get so little practice in bunkers that when I play away - Blackmoor for example - if I get in a bunker I'm screwed...!

I always think I am playing quite well if I go in greenside bunkers on my course. Means I am missing greens in regulation by a yard or so. It is when I am missing the bunkers by 20 yards in the deep heather I know I am playing my usual rubbish. In three greenside bunkers yesterday in my best round of the year.
