10,000 hours is a the number that it is often stated as the amount of time required to hone any new skill, whether that is golf or learning to play a musical instrument for example - of course that only gets you to be as good as you are going to be........some people will never attain the necessary skill level to be a pro golfer (or concert musician) no matter how much time they practice.

I train about 17 mins per week in my bedroom, then about 4 minutes prior to a round.

I often wonder why I never made pro ranks
