How many holes would you expect a golf buggy to last?

brand new batteries then 36 easily, trouble is when they've been round the block a few times they still do 18 but nowhere near what its potential is (although you can swap out the batteries)

Lowest I had was 13 holes when I needed a replacement but suspect it wasn't fully charged

cheers guys, pretty much as I expected.....a friend and I are doing the 72 hole Macmillan longest day challenge soon and the club are donating buggies for our support crew to drive!

Maybe ask if them how long they expect them to last? Ask for a 2nd buggy to be available after 36 holes? depending on how many buggies you need of course....

They've said we can have 2 buggies for the day.....hoping that means 1 the cover the morning rounds and 1 for the afternoon rounds.

Support crew?

2 friends driving around with us with a cooler full of food and drinks :D

What do you need a support crew for ?

You are only playing golf ?

If the support crew is only food and drinks surely they'll Just nip back and forth to clubhouse rather than follow all the way around?

We're making a fun day of it with a couple of non golfing friends, we'll need the moral support towards the end and they can speed ahead to let others know (if its busy) that we need to play through.

This forum is a priceless resource of busy bodies.

If we all had the choice of

A. having a cart ferrying Drinks and food behind us
and
B. Playing through in order to ensure you can get the 4 rounds in and speed up you day.

I would imagine most would absolutely say "yes" to the above.

Whats the issue? Honestly???

Having done the Macmillan challenge several times, I was more than happy to stop after each eighteen, lunch after 36 holes (and a change of shoes and socks). However if the OP wants to encourage non-golfing friends to help raise money then where's the harm.

The courses I've played (not always my home course) have given us right of way and one even had the marshal regularly going ahead, particularly in the afternoon to ensure we weren't held up. It makes sense especially the the course is likely to be busy. Good luck to the OP (and anyone else) doing it and I hope you raise plenty of cash

Pretty much how I'm hoping the day to go Homer. First 2 rounds complete by around 11:30/11:45 then a stop for lunch, shower, change of clothes and then out for the final 2 rounds.

My club have been fantastically accommodating - opening early, buggy will be read at 5, will let other users know what we're trying to accomplish.

I just hope the fund raising goes well and we can raised a lot of money for a fantastic cause.
