Its Friday and the 'how many shoes' thread demands that we take this theme onward

So how many golf gloves do you own and how many are in the bag (& how many are brand new/unused)

I've 8 just now
4 stored, 4 in the bag
6 brand new, 2 in use

Mixture of Callaway & Srixon (all are the all-weather variants)

Wont reveal size cos I heard its not important anyway

Suggestions for similar worthy threads might be:

How many umbrellas
How many golf bags
How many caps

You get the idea ;)

Don't do all weather gloves...

1 pair mac wets for when it's wet, really really wet.
Loads of brand new ones, one in the bag.
3 in current use - if it's damp etc I find this about right for a round
A large number of 'hard times' gloves which don't have holes but aren't as new that I keep for the time when I can't afford to be picky about what I use (well that's my argument t for keeping them!)

I quite like 'hard times gloves'

When they reach that condition I call mine 'range' gloves, for use... well the clues in the name ;)

Fascinating stuff. Can't wait to hear how many gloves a load of relative strangers have in their golf bags.

Exciting! :)

Ive still got my winter mitts in the bag, a pair of mac wets and 2 srixon leather gloves in use. plus one more new one still in a pocket somewhere... its a big bag!!

Could I ask how you found these and if they are good in rain at gripping ? (the reason I ask is that when I play in the rain, on a couple of occasions this year, I have accidently released the club up the fairway and looking for a glove that enables me to hold the club still fairly lightly but not lose it when it is wet)

I only have one in the bag (a few more at home in the cupboard). Cheap ebay jobbies bought as a bunch of 6 or 10 tbh, gloves have never really bothered me.

Ball markers! C'mon people.....how many?

And were you fitted for them?

Are you jealous of mine. Not fitted but according to the packaging it's a complete game changer

Guaranteed longer drives / hole more putts!

Bet you're wondering how bad I was before I started 'gaming' it?

<Stu_C will be along shortly to help out....>

Just like one of the other posters, I don't wear a glove - except when it pours, when I get out the MacWets. As they say, the wetter the better, perfect grip in all wet conditions. They do a micromesh for normal wet conditions and now do a climatec which are supposed to be better when it's cold. I have a micromesh pair and have just bought a climatec pair for the winter.

This link has them for £19.99 post free but they seem to have run out of climatecs:

Thanks Rosecott, that is great. Will purchase one as definitely sounds the job.

I have about half a dozen plus two pairs of rain-grip gloves.
Neither of my rain grips are mac wet. One is Golden Bear (From American Golf) and one is Dunlop (from Sports Direct). Both work perfectly at half the price of MacWet.

I have a pair of GG winter playing gloves, a pair of FJ rain gloves (couldnt find any macwets in a proshop when I needed wet gloves) and one W/S new glove I bought today.

I usually practice without a glove.

There not one, they are a pair, always carry them, the wetter they are the better the grip.

Other than that, 1 new glove in the bag and 1 that I wear, no preference to brand, deals in the evil SD currently have me wearing a Srixon.

Probably have a dozen or so. A lot are getting old and tatty but ideal for sticking in a freezer bag and putting in the bag to use when it's pouring down

Is there a benefit to frozen gloves of which i am unaware ?;)

As to original question, no idea how many i have. Never been able to corral them all in one place in order to count them. And they keep popping up in unexpected places. No brand loyalty, but always buy full leather rather than synthetic. (except the FJ raingrip that is)
