As the long evenings descend upon us I started totting up where I've played this year and amazed it was 51 different courses .

Stand outs are Burnham & Berrow , Whittington Heath and Delamere Forest. The one I'll not be rushing back to is Leominster.

Notable mentions go to Maesdu , Wilmslow , Prestbury and Edgbaston

Wow, that's some going! I've played 5 new courses this year, and 7 courses in total. i think I've played less than 30 rounds this year - that's something I've got to improve on.

Played 20 new courses this year in various meets/society days

Stand outs - Swinley Forest , Hankley Common , Hollinwell , Woodhall Spa (Hotchkin ) and Royal St George's

Two, made up of one round at my "home" club which I used for practice and twelve rounds at my away club.

Poor, but going to be one club only next year and hoping to get a couple of opens in.

25 for me this year and this includes 13 courses for the first time. Will be adding one more to the totals in just over a weeks time when I play Formby.

New courses : Trump International Aberdeen, Cruden, Murcar, West Sussex, Lundin Links.

Best courses that I have played before : Carnoustie, Old and Castle St Andrews, Royal St Georges, Hankley, The Berkshire Blue, Cinque Ports, Hotchkin Woodhall, Worplesdon, West Hill, Parkstone, Broadstone, Ferndown, Liphook.

Not too bad, 18 courses in the GM top 100.

Now that is an awesome 'stand out' selection

That's just the new ones - the others in the Top 100 are - RCP , West Hill , Liphook , all three at Woburn , Burnham and Berrow , Royal North Devon and Berkshire Blue

The One course for me that isn't in the Top 100 and stood out is Ipswich Purdis Heath - said it in the other thread, if the course was based in Surrey then it would be a top 50 course IMO

You need to work more.

Not as many as usual - 26 different courses, 11 new ones.

Standouts amongst the new courses were Royal Birkdale, Royal Troon, Trump International and Loch Lomond.

Only played 6 new courses this season Waterville, Tralee, Dooks, Dingle Links, Tain and played Leven Links today in the winter league. I don't see what all the fuss about Leven Links is ,in my eyes it was ok nothing special.

Had a look at that course when on hols in Ireland a few years back. Looked very interesting. The setting is simply majestic though.

It was a cracking course with some some really nice holes, preferred Dooks out of the 2 if i was going back there to be honest .
