How Many Balls in your Bag

More than just two? Just had a count as been picking up quite a few of late. And I've got 50. No wonder my bag feels a bit weighed down. Time for another 'downselect' to maybe a dozen or so - half dozen to play with - half dozen I'll have when I fancy trying something out when by myself.

I've typically got between six and a dozen in there. Usual ragtag assortment of whatever I've found whilst traipsing about in the long grass.

normally 6 new ones and about the same in decent pick ups or used ones. After a round, somehow the number is lower. I think there must be a hole in my bag...

A lot less than there was at the start of the season! Just stocked up on some new ones though so will be refilling before the weekend

I've got loads in my bag. As many as will fit. I change my ball every other hole to find one I like. My good lady thought it hilarious one day to unzip the pocket when I ran back in the house for something. Pulled the bag out the back seat and balls everywhere.

You see - as a kid I couldn't afford to buy golf balls and in any case wasn't bothered about what I played with. We're talking in the days of the Dunlop 65, Penfold Ace, Commando, Slazenger, Price's Everlasting (no actually - even I drew the line on these). So I just rummaged about when playing - and that habit has stuck with me. Every round I'll pick up about half a dozen

I usually carry about a dozen around with me. Right now, I've got eight new Srixon Distance and a few 'pre-owned' Srixon Z-Stars out of the bargain bucket in the course shop @ 50p each.

That's it - my mates laugh as I'll often be found wandering through the rough rather than up the fairway. Of course I don't need to but for me finding a golf ball is a little visceral thrill I love. I spot one - is it a TopFlite - or is it a nice shiney ProV1? Besides it has made me an expert ball spotter and finder

I always carry, so to keep the weight down, only ever have 6 balls in the bag. If I ever lost those I would walk in. Not happened so far.

Walking across courses in Glasgow as a pre-teen was one of my fave things to do. Used to come back with a hugh bag of balls. Windy Hills was very lucrative.

always between 12 - 15 for me, I dont lose too many balls now but its just always the amount I like to carry.

15-20 loose in the ball-pocket and 2x sleeves in the trolley netting.. I always like to have plenty of ammo.

Probably 6 new Pro V's , 6/7 Non ProV Titleist , bunch of old pro v's

Now i think of it there could be 30 in there ,, Yikes time for a clear out
