How long?

I dont expect them to - believe that Scott has some very lucrative clothes deals with his own clothes lines for starters.

Very nice deal with Scotty Cameron in regards his putter - and currently Titliests leading player - cant see him jumping ship personally and cant see Nike pursing him

I was just wondering how long after Adam Scott becomes World Number 1 will it be before Nike sign him?
If he goes on to dominate things may change, but doesn't have the kerb appeal of woods or mccilroy for me. He's not as youngs as either of those guys were when they signed their deals. Plus I still think that Rory will come good.

I can't see it either. It just seems there is a pattern forming. Titleist player becomes no.1, Nike sign him. Titleist player becomes no.1, Nike sign him. Titleist player becomes no.1.... I can just see all the Titleist execs walking around with smug grins on their faces :D

Can certainly see the pattern but think Scott is at a different stage compared to Rory and Woods - Scott like Donald and Westwood has been a career one manufacturer person where as both Rory and Woods were at the developing stage of their career.

I can actually see Woods leaving Nike within the next 3 years leaving Rory to be the their number 1 poster boy

Adam Scott could sign with anyone he liked I'm sure. He has the player profile every company could dream of - style of play, major title, clean cut lifestyle, good looks etc. Money talks these days and I wouldn't rule out a switch to another OEM, but I would think he would stick with what (so far) has been a pretty good partnership. I'm also glad Titleist refuse to get involved in bidding wars with players and no longer adopt "player signature series" products either.

Much like Rory's wood on the 18th few weeks back. Is it bottle, or a case of nothing to lose?

Its bottle and Scott has shown in the Masters last year that he has bottle

there is no bigger stage and he has shown it

One example of him holding his nerve doesn't counter the times he's faltered when in the lead. I'd suggest that blowing a lead, and not for the first time shows a lack of bottle. I'd also say that when the anchoring ban comes to effect his putting will struggle further. Time will tell and he may well win more events. But I would consider him a great example of how to hold your nerve.

Adam Scott has won over 25 golf tournaments including a WGC and the Masters. He has proved himself a top golfer.

Someone playing poorly doesnt automatically suggest "lacking bottle" - he just had a poor day on the greens today - it happens.
