How long have you gone without a 0.1 increase

I think I am setting new personal record - I've just done five qualifying rounds without an increase (or decrease) - interesting that this run follows a run of six 0.1 increases on the trot.

The good thing is that I know what I have done in the last 11 rounds to enable the turn around. I feel I am stable on the plateau following a transitional period as I changed things (hence the series of +0.1s) - and at some point fairly soon I'll get a decent round in and a decent reduction.

With luck...:)

Ive had five aswell SILH, been cut a whole shot in that time as well!

Feels great when its finally coming together! The only thing that ive changed is im now finishing well, concentrating on the final holes and being a little more conservative on them when i know ive got a score.

I finished last season with four cuts in a row... was gutted there was nothing else to play in!

Inevitably I had lost "it" by the time this season started but am also on a run of five comps without a 0.1 currently. That includes a 0.6 cut.

Still wouldn't say I'm playing particularly well...

It is. I am close...it's frustrating when I let it slip....but that's golf. My chipping has been a problem, then last time out I had tweaked it - and it worked - but - typical - my normally solid short putting went AWOL :)

Anyway - August Saturday Medal tomorrow, let's see how we go.

I was on 4, which included a 1.5 and .9 cut. But I got a .1 back last week as I walked off after 8 due to thunder and lightning, they didn't close the course, felt it was pretty unfair but oh well.

In my current run I've had,

8x 0.1 on the trot, then x1 buffer, another 0.1, then x5 buffer on the trot, and finished off recently with 2x 0.1.

For a while, l thought l was getting the hang of things.

Tomorrow is another day ...

I went 8 rounds .1 increase but managed to shoot 2 under last time out to get a mini cut.

If you plot my handicap changes on a chart over recent time it would resemble a sawtooth wave pattern.

.1,.1,.1,.1,.1,cut,.1,.1,.1,.1,.1,cut

Just not playing enough to go lower.

rarely buffer weeks in a row. this year it started with a few point ones then a rally of 7 very good weeks shedding 4 shots and this past two weeks it's been good and bad, rodeo golf I call it.

I did have a run of 8 without a 0.1 but it was brought to a crashing halt last Thursday the first of 3 straight 0.1s in the last 8 days.

Wouldn't have a clue overall but I would hazard a guess at not more than four or five.

Pleasantly surprised at the moment though as I have just gone down to my lowest ever handicap and have made buffer for the three rounds that I have played since the reduction. That probably puts the mockers on tomorrows medal round now.

Longest run in about the past 4 years is 3.

I play around 25 comps a year and long runs of 0.1 increases are more prominent these days. I produce the occasional really good score which gets me a 2 shot cut and then spend the next few months getting at least 1 back. My handicap has varied by as much as 4 shots during the past 3 years.

8 this season. Including 2 comps in one day. Had 2.1 shots taken off in that time.
Broke the chain with an NR two rounds ago. Now back to one.
