Luke Donald considered giving up golf for.

I am a massive fan of Luke Donald by the way but someone has decided to write a story about him considering giving up golf because of his bad form and drop in rankings.
Maybe he did but come on is this real life or is this just fantasy.

Get a flipping grip of reality people,i reckon he considered it until he realised how much money he would be losing so about a milli second.

Of course he has made the right decision to knuckle down and get on with his fantastic life that most would kill for.

Thought these were the quotes from Luke :

"My confidence had taken a big knock and I asked myself if I wanted to continue doing this," he said.

"Then I told myself not to be a baby, to grow up and realise how lucky I was. I was still playing golf for a living."

Hope he plays well this year.

Yes my apologies im sure he did say these things but my point was for how long did he think about it and honestly does anyone think he would give up his lifestyle and ability to earn millions.

Is it a story really and are we meant to feel sorry for him.
I am not saying he wants sympathy but come on lets get real.
He gets the same reposte from me as someone who comes on and says they have lost there mojo.
Man up and dig in.

He was right in his second quote though.

Me too he always a good bet on short courses.

Yeah, imagine it was a short conversation with himself!

Even doing not so good he no doubt had a lifestyle many of us would like a taste of.

He is yet another player who tried to change his swing to get better, but only succeeded in getting worse! His game was good enough before to get to World No 1, so why change it? Nick Faldo still seems to be the only one who has succeeded in seriously changing his swing! Monty did pretty well by sticking to the swing he had as an amateur, even though it was far from technically perfect. He always had a good rhythm though.

A one-liner from Donald basically saying something "...I thought...but..."

Taken by a journalist and expanded by about 200 words into a pseudo-news event.
