How gutted?

How gutted would you be if you received a phone call from GM towers this morning saying you had been picked as one of the winners of the Benross competition, only to realise that after you entered it, your work had booked you to be in the US for 2 weeks working so you could no longer make it...

I once asked my boss for time off for my brother's wedding, I worked weekends. I missed his wedding because I was told I would lose my job. I am now older and wiser, this is my life and if this is something I want to do then I will do it. I will never regret anything like that again, and seriously guys one day not working for the man is not gonna bust the company... But it will leave you wondering "if or I wish I had been there" .. So no I won't be gutted either way, this is my life you want to partake in it then you can, but on my terms, its called respect. When you bust a gut for the company and work long hours, there should be leeway. Unless of course your a useless muppet and oxygen thief then your better off going so some work can be done !
