Hi,
Was looking at my golf for last year and from what i can make out I only played 10 friendly games and paid only 6 green fees the other 80 odd rounds were either club comps in our own club around 35, interclub comps or pratice for them 22 7 new courses played during them all free and 20 odd opens 11 new courses. Guess i don't play much friendly golf as I would rather play in a open to see a new course than pay a green fee usually play in team events for the opens. So how do your rounds break down for the year.
Mike

Darn! Missed the pre-edited version. Can't imagine what it could of been considering the subject matter?

Back on topic.

Predominately weekly comps at the home club and the occasional drift to somewhere else. At these sub prices, I can't afford to pay subs and play at one place and then go off and pay a green fee elsewhere. It's like paying twice the price to play!

I do like visiting other courses but it's pure economics and the chance of a regular game that keeps me at one place.

relax dear it was just a typo on his header.

or was it........ :D

I play every week at my own course, my society has 6 outtings and I play in one of the provinces main interclub team match play competitions which if we went out in the first round would mean 3 other courses. Id reckon including the odd friendly game away from home, maybe 10 different courses per year.

I tend to play a large majority in club competitions (at least 60% with a minimum of two per month). THe remainder tend to be roll up friendly games at the weekend and usually a solo round midweek in the summer. Money has been tight and so the opportunity to go out and about is limited but I fully intend to rectify that this year.

only ever played my home course :o i'd like to play others this year as my confidence grows but would be looking for cheap courses.

Played about 100 rounds last year. Mostly at my course.

During the normal season I probably play 2 weekend comps a month at my home track. Rest will be friendly games at the weekend or a few rounds during the week when I can get out of work a bit early when it's lighter later. :D :D

I'm going to try to play some mid-week comps when the season starts again.

I haven't played any winter comps.

I played 3 new courses in last the year and probably paid about about 10 green fees. I want to get out and about a bit more this year if possible.

ive played over 150 rounds last year...
played about 8 different courses
played about 15-20 times away from my home club
I'm going to try to better that this year

To many to count at my home course, played a few at Downfield with my mate ,went to Ireland for the week and played 11 times there a couple of opens and 4 times with the guys from here ,happy days.
Even more this year as my youngest joined my club so cant get excuses from HID about playing to much golf as he'll be with me alot.

Every week at the club in either the swindle or in the comp if there is one. This year hope to join in the interclub matches. Play elsewhere with mates about once a month from spring to autumn. About 3 work related bashes. One week away with mates - 11 rounds and if poss includes 8-9 new courses. And a long weekend (3 rounds) with more mates for the "birthday tour". Varied I guess?
