I know, need to try some but humour me.

Earlier incarnation as a golfer I tended to use mallets.

I bought a beloved mizuno bettinardi. It is face balanced.

Have some good memories of snaking some monsters with it. The original grip (pistol I think) is almost bare now.

Normally a fairly settled bag person, probably not long after joining here I started dabbling. Now on a second fatter grip centre shafted mallet, this one counter balanced. In a decent run of form on the greens, very steady lots of good lags but nagging feeling not holing enough.

Fancy re-gripping the mizuno and giving it an audition. Unsure whether to go with a grip like it had on originally, or go with the newer style fatties.

Give me some mind baffling gobbledygook forum :)

See if your local pro or store has different grips on putters you can try. I did and went completely on how it felt.

I have a Flatso 1.0 grip on my putter, not too big, not too small and the flat front is great to get both thumbs down the shaft. So far so good. I've tried all kinds of putter grips and whilst I like the traditional pistol style, can never find one in the right thickness. Do recall the Ping Karsten TR grips being nice.

Chose by how good it felt when holding it to putt. I prefer a mid size grip, tried a couple of different ones, had a Winn on for almost a season. It was a great for most of the time, until it got wet, then went slimey as slime could be. Did a bit of looking around and found these http://coregolf.co.uk/the-grip-master-cabretta-midsize-laced-putter-grip.html, they are a tad on the expensive side, but they are brilliant. Mine has been on for two seasons now, no sign of wear, fantastic in the wet, goes super sticky. I play a lot of golf so thought it worth the investment.

Always fancied one of these but my putter didn't cost that much more!
