Hi ,

any one know how the firms tha sell tee times on line make there money. Only asking as found a deal for a course near me where the best price the course could do was £45 , went on line and found that tee time .co.uk were selling the rounds on the main course for £15.

Obv will be booking online.

Cheers

Midnight...did you actually book then time? There is generally only 1 tee-time that is available at the really good rate - if you can get that then well done....they are not normally tee-times that you would choose first off...

Basically, the principal is a full tee-time at whatever price brings in more money than an empty tee-time....

Hi,

I have used this lot 4- 5 times and each time have got the price which is advertised , the tee times all seem to be at a decent time , ie on Fri available from 1018-1410.
The last time we used them for a 3 ball we all paid £17 instead of £45 for a 1108 time.

Cheers

Hi,

the one I have used is Teeofftimes.co.uk

I have not had any issues yet, but I don't normally like advertising things in case you get any problems.

If you use them I hope it all works out .

HI guys,
used teetimes.co.uk many times over the last 2 years and always got a great deal and guarented tee times.

Speaking to a club manager - they book blocks of teetimes JUST outside of peak periods and yeah...I have no idea how they're making a profit cause their margins can't be big - but hey who cares...me and a few buddies have played 18 holes at the Marriot Meon Valley for £12 on Saturday morning.

You just can't fault it !

I always guessed the courses "allow" the websites a certain amount of tee times because selling them for anything is better than nothing. How money changes hands I can't begin to think.
I'm not surprised though that phoning the course gets a different rate to a tee-time website. The courses probably have a pragmatic approach to this, they can't start offering crazy prices direct, or it would de-value the green fees?

Good question. :)
