How big are you?

I've said many times I'm a short hitter and it was backed up by the Trackman monitor on Saturday. I was hitting the I15 in a 9.5 degree 229 carry and a regular G15 in a 10.5 235 carry. Neither are huge and I dare say I could probably eek another 5-10 yards up with a C/F session but I'm actually driving my TM Burner well. Again it probably only comes out around the 230-235 yard mark carry but it isn't getting me in any trouble and so I can score.
 
I'm with you homer, roughly 220-235 carry but with a 11.5* driver I don't think there is a massive amount of roll out. Bring on the winter and my driving will be lucky to reach 230-240.
So currently I'm probably 260yards maximum for the time of year excluding any 'with the wind/downhill' kitchen sinks.
 
Sorry Bobmac many apologies... It was going to be 'who hits it the furthest' because most people on here are 300yard drivers and I had a rather sarcastic moment wondering why I only hit it 260 compared to a lot of people on here. I think you might know where I'm coming from there with that one..... ;)

No-one in my club hits it 300 regularly. None. Nada. Zero.
The only player I've watched close-by hit it around 300 was Danny Willett. His stats say 295.

That's ironic because I don't really know many that do it regular either. The only one I know of who could do it regular is a golf pro I play with now and again and is also my coach.
I'm just getting more sarcastic now so I better stop now! :D
 
A total of 20 players across both top level tours hit that 300yd mark.

More double digit handicap bombers on here than out on tour!!!

P.S don't trot the line about you being a bad putter, that might be a fabrication too!! :rolleyes: :D
 
I might go and have another "fitting" lol, then when the pro isnt there, absolutly leather one and video the flight monitor just to prove I can smash it out there haha

Don't know what your on about..... I use my putter from the tee, hit it 380yards then chip on with the back of the putter then one putt from anywhere on the green. That's why I'm off plus 9! I only drop shots on long par 4's and the par 5's. :D :D :D
 
went out one night and measure 6 drives, they went 268-273-269-271 then 1 went 220 and 1 went 295. Happy if I can reach the green with a short iron, and have a birdie chance though.
 
It depends on where I'm playing, at my home club I'm around 275 but when I play the local course where I work it's 290 using my sky caddie. I've got a Ping driver fitting in 3 weeks at Gainsborough, I've never been on trackman so it should be interesting to see if my numbers are anywhere near optimal.

I do know someone who hits it well over 300 yards, he's a freak. He hit our first hole with a 3 iron which is 310 yards and our 3rd hole which is 275 with a 6 iron it is down hill though. So I know there are people out there who do hit it 300 on average but they are very rare to come accross.
