throughout UK, due to flooding and bad weather this winter??

As an overseas member i recived information that the course is flooded throughout and heavy rain during weekend is expected....... So how is condition throughout and is this normal conditions?
Wish you all will have a pleasent weekend:thup:

It's wet and boggy and temps greens and temp tees on a lot of holes but it's open and playable and gives different challenges to your game

struggling for a game this weekend. wind blowing cold today and heavy rain this eve. bog / course has been closed for the last 3 days!

Were still on full greens, their a little soft but still run well, fairways are very good, bunkers are a lottery but are being raked regularly, some forward tees but still a measured course, land to the side of the green in light rough on full approach shots and expect your ball to be plugged, all-in-all, were open and playing golf and have only been closed 1 day to date.

We're open tomorrow, no trolleys etc but open all the same, full greens, front tees, can't wait to get out there to be fair after being closed all last weekend

Won't you be effected by the bucket load of rain tonight ?

We are fine up here, had frost tha last few mornings, but the course is pretty dry apart from that.

Not had anything like the rain youve had down south, only the odd shower.

Snow might not be far away though, the sky looks full off the stuff!!

Best of both worlds for me.

I'm a member @ 2 clubs, one's a Parkland and the others a Links but apart from that it's been a mild winter up here. No drama

Played today and as long as you're on the fairway (ish) then it's pretty good nick, apart from the 17th which is like a paddy field.

The walkways between holes are muddy and we've lost 2 bridges over rivers/streams.... The only bad point are some of the greens which are now quite mossy, but pretty good to putt on.

I'm impressed with the work our green keepers have done.

My course, Long Sutton is still half under water. 9 holes were opened for a few days during the week but now it's closed again with heavy rain today and more forecast Sunday.

Windwhistle which is closer to me is still open with no temporaries. It's all hills and slopes, drains well and is in good condition considering the weather we've had.

Played 9 holes yesterday and it was a mud bath, every shot landed with a splash and there was absolutely no compression of the ball. If you didn't clip it off the top of the surface , the shot did not go anywhere.

Played today.

All bunkers are GUR but that apart it was in pretty decent condition.

A lot drier than it was last Sunday though its raining again now.
