How a round of 76 can be frustrating

I will tell you......

Today I went out for a round with my new wilsons.
My first Tee shot went onto 18th fairway, second shot to way right of the green.PAR!
Next tee par 3 shot out the back under trees, chip and putt.PAR
3rd hole almost topped the drive but got it 250yds,wedge to green 1 putt.
After 8 holes I was 1 over par yet every tee shot was poor or rubbish. 9th hole hit well clipped overhanging tree that threw ball back a bit, 8 iron to green, flat on left front quater with slope off the left.Watched my beautiful 8 iron shot go over the flag (pitch mark a yard beyond it)then roll down the slope into fluffy lie.Fluffed the first chip and the second and 2 putted.SIX!on par 4.

Back nine had 3 or 4 duffed tee shots or long second shots but finished 76 gross but didnt feel that good about it lol. GOLF what a bloody game lol.

And that's why you'll be out next time. Everything is just so unpredictable.

As you say, you feel as though you have played badly, yet you walk off thinking "how on earth......"

Yet, the next round you will cream the drives, strike the irons beautifully and putt well and end up with a 77!

I feel for you Herb I really do, I hate when I top my drives and they only go 250 yards

And when you keep fluffing shots but still getting up and down its so damn tiring

Never mind mate, sure you'll be back at work or something soon, that'll make you feel better!

lol guys but if I had hit some of those tee shots on other courses I can think of it would probably have been an 84 lol.

When I have one of these rounds I think of the comments someone made to me, Dont dwell on the ones that could of been, Be greatfull for the ones that shouldn't of been.

I shall take that with me where ever I go .lol. I never thought of it that way.
