Jus asking for some advice from you southerners who know best.

Going down to London in a couple of weekends for the Saturday and Sunday night. Unlike when I have been before, I need to have my car with me. So I was wondering if anyone could advise me of a hotel that either has parking or there is reasonably priced parking close by, as I just want to park my car up on the Saturday morning and pick it up again on the Monday morning. But I do not want to be spending £200 to park my car.

More than happy not to be staying in the center as long as it is close by top either a train or subway station.

Anyone got any good suggestions?

Hilton docklands has two underground car parks, has it's own boat that runs back and forth from canary wharf ( some nice restaurants there and also is on a river buss that runs up and down the Thames should you want to get out on the river....

All depends on your hotel budget adey, most have parking or concierge have access to parking.

NOt on a shoe string budget, but on the other hand I do not have a bottomless pocket. It is just a lot of the hotels I had seen at a nice price had parking near by. SO basically they do not have their own parking and I am going to have to pay for a weekends parking.

I think OS has had the best idea, the HItlon docklands is spot on. Hotel is the right price and the parking is cheap.

The Travelodge opposite the Excel is ok - Hotel is ok and the parking was a £5 a night last year

I always stay in La Reserve which is right outside The Bridge :smirk: Has its own free car park and costs me £75 for a double room.

If that's full I stay at the Ibis on Lilley Road for £99 and again they have an underground car park which costs £15 per stay.
