So your playing in your clubs winter comp, your up early and its bitterly cold outside. Your wrapped up in your thermals, hats and jumpers and you get to the 6th hole where there is a little cabin doing hot drinks and sarnies...

You think right, I need something to warm me up... What do you go for:

a) Tea
b) Coffee
c) Hot Bovril
d) hot chocolate

The reason I ask, I don't normally drink hot drinks but I was having a round a few weeks back and was offered a hot bovril, I thought ok why not.. Kicked me right into gear and warmed me up straight away and I know go back for more!

Just wondered what everyone else's tipple was for those cold days.

E, a nip from a hip flask of single malt, warms you up np end and also makes the bad shots seem less important.

Coffee for me.

I have to admit I'm a coffee/caffine junkie. As a matter of fact, I'm just supping a double espresso from our Nescafe Dolce Gusto

Ours sometimes does soup as well. The guy makes them himself and they're really good. Definitely hits the spot on a cold day.

In the last few weeks we've had...

Onion
Potato & Leek
Spicy Tomato
Stilton & Broccoli (the best soup I've ever had!)

Soup or tea for me. Can take a hot chocolate if I'm in the mood but I usually find it to be too sweet.

it also speeds up the onset of hypothermia......it makes you feel warmer because of the dilation of the blood capillaries on the surface of your skin but in actual fact it has the opposite effects.

i'd probably go for the hot chocolate.....can't beat a hot chocolate when it's proper cold.

Having been to 78 league grounds in my time watching Fulham I've had more than my fill of Bovril (in some cases a muddy sludge impersonating Bovril) and so would rather have a nice tea. If its been bitter I usually have a coffee in the 19th at least as my first drink to warm up a bit

A nice hot coffee suits me fine.

But also, when it's really cold,

A flask of mulligatawny soup, warms the cockles of your heart.
