Hi guys, hope everyone has a great day on the course today.

I'm off to play a short-course today, want to dedicate a bit of time to that aspect of things whilst I am still bedding in with the new driver.

Special mention to tpred getting back to action since injury.

Yeah they do look after it well down there, was too windy today to be enjoyable, Hit a 7 iron into a 150 yards par 3, wind balooned it up and held it in the air for what seemed a lifetime, finished up landing 50yds short.

Even when I tried playing lower, punchy shots the wind was still uplifting the ball.

Going to be 2 weeks or so until I next get out so was a bit disappointed.

Will have to settle for the range tomorrow. Hope to blow away a few cobwebs and get rid of the rusty swing.

World of Golf for me.

Had a nightmare round - 29 points. No real consistency but problems really came about because I could not hit an iron of any description. The problem was compounded because I'm still bedding down the swing changes from my lesson last week and it is only the 2nd round with my new X20's so distances etc still a bit haphazard.

Stil nipped to the range this afternoon and had a very constructove session working on ball striking and re-affirming the changes being made by my pro.

Back down the range for another session tomorrow morning to hopefully groove it all into place and then off for an hour on the putting green after my bacon sarnie for lunch

Posted this in another thread but its more appropriate here,

I Got 9 holes in today and wished I hadnt gone out.
Two pars in total and the rest were unmentionable.
First hole into a strong cross wind and virtually topped it off the teebox then mis-hit my second too.
On the last hole I drove into the second bunker on the left of our fairway and had around an 80yd shot to the uphill green, Managed to completely nuke it cleanly and watched in horror as it headed towards our heavily glassed frontage of the clubhouse. Such a crack noise and the ball bounded back into play beside the green, chipped on and sank the putt for par! haha the other three fellas laughed a lot then we went to inspect the damage, just a mark where the ball must have had a bit of sand stuck to it and scored the white paintwork around a foot from a function room window. I also nearly holed my teeshot on the previous hole par 3 but ended with a par also. Definately drunken clubhouse talk material.

Quality Brendy, that reminds me of the time I was playing with my cousin at Bellisle in Ayr. He managed to slice his ball out of bounds and strike a passing ambulance which had its lights and sirens going.

Thought I was going to pee myself laughing!

Thecraw, A moving object?? thats even better!
Heres a view of our last hole,
Basically I was in the 2nd bunker up on the left tucked into the left edge so I was standing on the slope of the bunker to hit the ball.
I caught it flush and got a flyer, the ball struck the white painted area above the furthest left window in the main section of the building. Our last is a two tier green and the ball luckily bounced back almost pin high 15 yards off the green. Such an absurd event its not worth even thinking how the hell did I do that?

Back out today to prove a point to myself after yesterdays soaking debacle.
Started again with a 6 on the par 4 after losing one right. birdie, bogey, eagle went my next three holes, ended up shooting 75 (+4) so was happy enough with todays game, still a fee shocking chips which isnt like me but my driving with the on-test Mizuno driver is going really really well. I think I missed 3 fairways today and tried using it at every hole where possible.
