Honma Golf clubs

Has anyone ever played with a Honma club? I see them in the equipment supplements in magazines and can't get my head round the price of them. From £12k to something like £40k for a set!!! I understand they hand made to order individually etc and are Japanese but if they were that good why do all the superstars we know play with the usual suspects brands.
The English language version of their official site has some interesting translations, especially the captions under the players (mainly Asian tour) who use Honma.
"Shin - Ae Ahn is a beautiful professional golfer" or "He is called a "demon for matchplay"

Can get Honma for around £1300 a set. But as you say they do the horrific priced ones as well. They do not pay big bucks out to tour players in sponsorship hence why not many use them. They are known as being one of the best out their though. They sell their stuff on here so fill ya boots:

It's mainly ugly game improvement stuff, often gold plated. Nice.
