"Homer Style" round review......

Big game today. Maybe my biggest for a long time.
Been off 12 for as long as I can remember but after three consecutive 31 pointers at PGA Boars Head, I find myself teetering on the brink of Cat III status at 12.4.
Will I shoot a 75 to get some credibility back, or another 87 to face ridicule and derision wherever I go?
Will I still be pissing with the big dogs this afternoon, or consigned to hanging around with the rest of the hackers in the higher categories?
I'll give a shot by shot, "Homer" style review of my round later on.
I've got some new putting ideas that I'm working on.....

A little diskie bird tells me that Ping heard they had a "relatively young and low" man playing their clubs and have offered Smiffy a new Driver if he can keep it going as it makes them look good!

I won't go into details, needless to say I am now a Cat III golfer.
Didn't have one par on the front 9, parred the 10th for my only one of the day. No 3 pointers. Nothing.
I haven't played as badly as that in ages, I'm not even going to blame the greens, although they were shite.
3 putted the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th (from 8 feet!)and 17th.

Feeling your pain Smiffy, I went from 8 to 9 again on the last qualifier last year even though I thought I had scraped buffer only to be denied by a lot of guys who obviously found the day easier than I.
