Made a batch of these this morning. Everybody likes them & they're very handy to take out onto the course.

Ingredients:

1 Tblsp Syrup
1 Tblsp Black Treacle
3 oz Sugar
4 oz Butter
4 oz Porridge Oats
4 oz Self Raising Flour
Chopped Hazelnuts (good handful)
Mixed Fruit (I use raisins only)

Melt the Syrup, Treacle, Butter & Sugar in a bowl. Add other ingredients & mix. Grease a tray & spread mixture to a depth of about ¼" or a bit more. Bake for a bare 20 minutes. Let it cool for quite a while, then cut into fingers. They should be quite soft, not crisp. Don't be tempted to cook longer.

Delicious! I usually make 3 times this amount.

Sounds lovely, though I normally bake these bad boys

250 grams almond butter
85 grams vanilla plant-based protein powder
165 grams maple syrup
2 eggs
185 grams gluten-free rolled oats
40 grams unsweetened coconut
1 teaspoon baking soda

Munch down two bars, and that's a 350-calories with almost 17 grams of protein!

If you like peanut butter.
peanut butter a decent one like whole earth 1 cup
oats 2 cups
honey couple of table spoons
I think that is the right proportions, but quite easy to tinker with if they are slightly out.
as a base
if you want more protein add protein powder, plus you can also add more nuts, fruit or chocolate
put into a flatish dish and into the fridge for a few hours, cut up and enjoy. A word of warning though, they will not last long 😀
