Evening everybody!

Hopefully taking a golfing break north of the border in july. With so many fellow forums living in the area,i thought it only appropriate to seek your knowledge on tracks to play & affordable accommodation to stay?

Ps.. forgot to say.Thinking of heading to the Heartlands area.

Cant recommend east lothian enough. About 20 odd courses in the county all within 30 mins drive of edinburgh. Start at longniddry or the new ones at aberlady and work your way through gullane, north berwick and dunbar!

6 of us are using Pass No. 9 in early May as well as playing Goswick on the way up & North Berwick whilst we're there.
To get the passes you have to stay at one of the associated accomodation providers.
We're staying here for 4 nights.
Can't bloody wait if I'm honest.

Thats a pretty good deal, I would have maybe suggested the extra cash on pass 10.

One or two of the lads are on a bit of a budget and with the fact that North Berwick is £85 a round we decided on that one.
We're playing North Berwick 'cos we always have a round at one top quality track and try and budget a bit for the others.
The trip is more about having a laugh, winning/losing a few quid on the golf and getting leathered on a night rather than playing the best courses possible and taking things seriously. :D
Oh, and getting away from the W.A.Gs & kids for a few days.
