This may have been done (more than likely has been) but I'm new to this forum and assume so too are others. I did search the topic but it returned nothing.

So simple question - Have you had one? several, many, or like me, has this feat eluded you thus far in your golfing career. What were they like (textbook or jammy) How big a dent did it put in your wallet?

Long term inmates please feel free to swerve this thread unless you can't resist reliving your triumphs once again. :one:

Just the one for me, in a pro am with approx 120 other golfers.

Safe to say I swerved the bar and got the drinks in down town with later with the guys I played with.

I've never had one, come close so many times it's a joke but hopefully one day i'll get one. I'm struggling to recollect if a playing partner has ever got one whilst I was with them either. I'm a bad omen!

Never had one but hit the flag and the lip of the cup at the same time. It bounced about 6ft away. Never seen one either.

I've never had one (closest was last week, 6 inches away), but have seen two.

The first one was on a trip to Portugal, played with a young lad who hit the ball a long way, very cleanly, but rarely straight. After 15 holes I asked him (we were partners) if he would like me to help him with alignment.

Very first shot was a 185 par three, I stood behind him to align him properly, and strike me down if he didnt hit a perfect draw, pitched 10 feet short, checked second bouce and rolled straight in.

Made his day, made mine to a lesser extent, and I was called coach or Butch for the rest of the trip.

When I was a junior I thinned my first tee shot into the water on the 7th at Southwick Park. 3 off the tee, landed about 8 foot short of the pin and rolled in. Best save for a par i've ever had. Never had a proper ace, but I have hit the pin twice.

My first one was when I'd been playing for a couple of years, about 15 years ago. My 2nd one was just before Xmas this year during a winter league match. A perfect 8 iron 154 yards and pitched pin high and spun sideways in - it also helped me score my best ever home round score of 71 or 72 (Matchplay)

Hit one last summer in a comp. gave my dad the watch as a thank you for introducing me to the sport. plus as he was quick to point out, "You don't wear watches" .

Never have :(, been close a lot and have holded from the fairway for eagles on par 4's and 5's numerous times but alas its not the same. Never seen an actual hole in one either, have been close enough to see some excitement from groups ahead as a hole in one went in, but that's it.
