Hole in one , or not?

Well, practice round yesterday afternoon, playing two ball better ball scoring for the ego boost!!!

6th hole 177yards, first ball pulled left slightly avoiding the bunkers but pin high! So hit same hybrid for my second ball, perfect, pitched just short of flag and disappeared!!!

The 3 ball on the 7th tee had just walked off down the fairway so no-one witnessed it at all!!!

Technically not a hole in one I know, but I enjoyed it!!

To me it was a hole in one. You were playing two balls so wasn't like a provisional

Thankfully our clubhouse has members who like a bit of banter and chat and would take the subject matter for exactly what it is!!

I would say I holed out from 170. Can't really say its a hole in one when its your 2nd attempt. This game is so much easier when your drop another ball down. The 2nd always seems to do what you wanted!

Exactly ... You drop 10 balls on a par 3 tee and hole the 8th one, it makes no difference to it being the second :rofl:

I suppose it depends if the "1" in hole in 1 refers to the score on the scorecard or the number of shots it took you from the tee to the hole. So how about it would say a 3 on the scorecard but you got a hole in 1.

My hole in one last year was shorter than that and needed a 3 wood!
