Hi all,i had a hole in 1 today on our par 3 11th,130yds, a punched 8 iron.I got away lightly in the bar as it only cost me £35.Just a shame it wasnt in an official comp as i could have claimed it on my insurance.I was actually marking one of my playing partners daughters card as she was playing in a ladies medal but playing along side us.so was nearly official enough to get my money back but £35 is a small price to pay for an ultimate shot, that makes it 2 in 1 season so i must be doing something right.

Remarkable....and two in one season....even more remarkable!
Well done! Was it at the same hole?

Does your club not give you a bottle?
Ours does.
A guy at our club had two in the one round last year and was given two bottles to share out.

Exert from our club website........

August 2006 - What a week!

What a week that was for holes in one!

First - Walter Shepherd holes his six iron tee shot at the thirteenth on Saturday 12th August.

One week later Euguene O’Brien a 3 handicap member holes in one twice in the one round!!!!! A stunning achievement, the equivalent to winning the lottery. Eugene holed his five iron tee shot at the thirteenth then followed this by holing his driver at the 245 yard sixteenth. The sixteenth is rated one of the most difficult par threes in golf - obviously not for Eugene.

Congratulations to both players.

(The Secretary/Manager was seen crying in his beer at the cost to the Club of all those bottles of Whisky!)

No Atticus im afraid not.We are expected to buy the drinks.
It would be nice to be able to register your hole in ones in some sort of club.I have my last one in a glass display case with an engraved plaque and the ball sits on a tee in the centre. But it would be nice to have an official register or something similar.perhaps someone could come up with something or am i just being a sentimental fool.

tpred,

when my friend got one he received a hole in one prize trophy from either the R & A or the Scottish Golf Union (can't remember which) once he showed them proof. I was trying to find a link on a website for you to apply but can't find it at the moment. Perhaps someone else can help. I'm struggling.

John,

Taylor Made say that if you use their equipment and you get a hole in 1 they will send a certificate of achievement.I sent them the details of the last one and never even got an email from them to say thanks for letting them know.
