While playing today I landed in a bunker. Although thankfully my ball was not in it, there was a hole that had clearly been dug by a fox (paw prints visible and a "present" left beside the hole). The hole was about 6 inches deep and 9 inches diameter. Had my ball gone in there, it would certainly have been unplayable. Given that a fox is not a burrowing animal, would this have just been a case of tough luck? That would seem utterly unfair.
(NB. After I played out of the bunker, I filled in the hole with sand while raking).
