What's the highest score you've recorded/witnessed for a single hole in a competitive round of Golf?

I once carded a 12 on a par 5. However, I've just noted a 16 recorded yesterday in the monthly medal.

A pleasing coincedance was that it was a 16 on the 16th hole which is SI 16.

I was playing in a junior scratch cup at my place and started with a twelve on a par 5 :o

To say it wasn't my finest hour would be a bit of an understatement :(

For me it was 11 on the 10th hole at Knighton Heath in a medal , its a 430 yard par 4 with the green keepers shed just short and right of the green and its OB , I put 4 shots into there before laying up with a 4 iron to card 11 , talk about red mist ..............................EYG

13 is the most I have had in a medal and I have never actually seen a higher score although I am sure an 18 springs to mind in a pro tournament.

Played in my only 36 hole competition at my current Club, and started on the 10th with a 9. Playing partner had a 13 on the same hole in the afternoon round. Oddly we both got our handicaps cut.:ooo:

I think I've had a 10 but it was a long time ago, could have been a 9. I had a hamlet moment in a bunker, a guy at our place had a couple of 14s a few weeks back

Playing in a medal event a couple of years ago I carded an 11 on a par five without losing a ball. One of my playing partners also carded an 11 at the same hole and the third guy had an 8, so 30 shots between us for one hole!

Can't remember any bigger scores.

I had a 16 on a par 5 3 tee shots OOB before I put the driver away and hit a 7 iron off the tee.

I've heard of scores in double figures on our 4th which is only about 120 yards off the whites!

Same as me. 16 on our par5 9th. 3 balls OOB, then a fight in the trees before finally 4 putting. Haven't had more than a 10 since.

I had a 15 on the first hole of my first ever medal at Orton Meadows in Peterborough back in the late 1980s, drawn with club captain - two decent shots to 30 yards short of green then shanks, deep rough, bunkers shots and probably four putts - they put me out with the club champion in my next medal round and he was the most encouraging person I've ever met on a golf course - scored OK that day.

Played with then club secretary at Alford who was still in a bunker at the side of the par 3 16th after 14 shots - I was on handicap committee at the time and stupidly told him he was unlikely to beat the record for that hole of 16 - he NR'ed

15 on a Par 5 in this years County Foursomes Championships. It was our playing partners who were the rudest, most ignorant women I've yet to come across on a golf course. Confess to a teeny smirk when I marked the card..."was that a 15?"

Many moons ago I think I had a 12 on a par 5 without losing a ball or going in a bunker. To this day I'm not sure how.
Earlier this year CVG took 11 on out par 5 17th and he was100 yards from the green in 2..smacked 3 in a row intothe bushes...

A guy had a 22 on a par 5 i know on a par 5 first hole there is a field next to the hole anything in there is ob he put 5 balls in a row over there and walked in. I did not witness it but was talk of the club house. I also saw a guy put 9 balls in there once in a row, it was not a medal though, he was a lefty, had the worst slice in history and the wind was blowing a gale that direction. I played another 7 holes with him and his son and it was so much hard work balls in every direction i said i had a bad stomach and walked in

had an 11 this year on a par 5. two lost balls off the tee. :o

it was the only hole I messed up really bad. made the buffer which I was quite proud off.
